Call To Order
An Engineering meeting of the OC Engineering club, was held on Febuary 6th, 2020. The meeting convened at 3pm, called to order by Dylan Jensen, in the library basement, room 001. President Raymond Simpson presiding, Dylan Jensen, vice president, and Yuval Martin(Officer).

Old business
Advertising/Recruitment
- Raymond asked Naydene, Director of Tutoring at OC, about advertising the RobotX program and the Engineering Club in the tutoring center. Results discussed in New Business
Business Cards
- Are still on the list to be acquired
Club Logo
- Isaac Volunteered to try and design a logo using vector graphics.
Current EE Club Project: Holonomic Drive Robot
- Team Members discussed design implementation and ideas both in meeting and outside of meeting
Dean Communication
- Dean still has not contacted any Engineering Club representative.
- Likely won't need to speak to him about funding, just to keep him in the loop.
Acquisition of New Meeting Room
- SGOC is responsible for assigning rooms to clubs, will need to discuss at next Club Congress, dated for Tuesday, 11th of February
- Need room to be able to handle planned members, and also to securely store large amounts of valuable materials necessary for the RobotX project.
New business
Introduction of New Members to RobotX Project
- RobotX project scope, overview, wiki. and benefits was presented to new members Justin, Cameron, Isaac, Eric, and Jess.
Recruitment Efforts in Tutoring Center
- Naydene, Director of Tutoring, approved us for putting flyers and posters in the tutoring center, but no usage of the whiteboards in the room as originally planned
- UPDATE: Naydene apparently does not care
Positions in Club
- Brief discussion of the future need for a Treasurer and a Property Manager
Communication with local highschool robotics teams
- Dialogues with the local robotics teams are being made to bring in a fresh stream of recruits for future RobotX participants
Communication with ASME and IEEE at WSU
- Jess mentioned that with the IEEE reaching out to highschool robotics teams, there would be a good opportunity to also create a dialogue with them
- Have a smooth transition from highschool robotics team to OC Engineering Club to WSU Engineering Clubs
Next Meeting
- Next meeting planned in 2 weeks, February 20th.
Approval of minutes
Motion was made by Raymond Simpson, and seconded to approve the minutes of the 06FEB2020 meeting. Motion carried.
